Mason just posted a nice dissertation on mysticism, and that goes a
long way toward describing a specific kind of gambler. But whether
you're a mystic, mathematician, or ordinary gambler, one thing remains
constant:

"The house doesn't care whether you think you have a winning system."

The implications of this fact are subtle but important.

I've often wondered - if you held Mason upside down over a concrete

Mason would be the first to point out that you need infinite trials.
