Last night at 9:30 PM PST, the Winter Solstice occurred, marking the
Southernmost point on the Sun's "journey" back and forth across the
Earth's equator. Of course, the Sun is not journeying at all, but
that's how we view it.

Where I live (38 degrees 47 minutes North latitude), we get nine
hours, twenty-eight minutes of sunshine today.

Happy "Festival of Sunreturn", Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah (or
whoever you like to spell that), Kwanza or any other Winter Holiday.
Cheers,
Alan Shank

Too Late for Merry Christmas on my part.
But please accept my Hearty Wishes for a Happy New Year !

According to local news radio -
An investement in the Dow-Jones would've paid about 5 to 5.5% for the
year. Likewise in the Nasdaq would've lost 2%.

Not far from the usual House Advantage if you Lay/Buy the 5/9 (vig on
win only). And if you compare to standards like the H.A. on Pass/Don't
Pass you woulda beat the Nasdaq just Grinding it out on the Passline !

For 2012:
I wish all Craps Players everywhere have at least one monster 60
minute session of nothing but Point Numbers *and* that they make it
pay!
